From Service Dog Training
State laws in Alaska.
Definition
"service animal" means a dog guide or other animal that assists a physically disabled person to function as a pedestrian."
Summary
This law protects guide dogs and other service animals from being run over in the street. The law does not cover public access rights of service animals, so the ADA laws for public access protect the service dog user.
State laws may be superseded by the ADA. For the text of the ADA, click here. For general information about service dogs, click here. If you are looking for information on service dogs in places of business, check out our Information for businesses.
